MUNCIE, IN — PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union raised $5,360 for the Heartland Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at its Third Annual Mini-Golf Mixer, held on June 11th at Boulder Falls Mini-Golf.
This annual event brings together local businesses, community partners, and residents for an afternoon of friendly competition to support area nonprofits. Each year, the team at PrimeTrust votes internally to select the nonprofit beneficiary for the event, ensuring the credit union’s fundraising efforts directly reflect the charitable passions of its team.
This year's proceeds will support the Alzheimer’s Association in its mission to fund global research, drive risk reduction, and provide care and support for families navigating Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
The event initially brought in $4,360 through local sponsorships and registration donations. The final total received an unexpected boost when American Income Life surprised organizers with an additional $1,000 contribution, bringing the grand total to $5,360.
"We are very pleased with the turnout and the community support at our third annual event," said Tim Pierce, President & CEO of PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union. "For over 90 years, PrimeTrust has focused on giving back to the community we serve. Our team was proud to select the Alzheimer's Association as this year's beneficiary, and it was great to see our members and neighbors come out to support such an important cause."
Rachel Derf, from American Income Life added, "American Income Life truly enjoyed participating in the Heartland Alzheimer's Mini Golf Mixer and grateful to support such an important cause. We greatly value our partnership with PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union and appreciate their commitment to making a positive impact in the communities they serve."
The team competition saw strong participation from local organizations. Ball State Financial took home the trophy as the overall winner.
"The support from PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union and the Muncie community is greatly appreciated," said Danielle Boehm from the Alzheimer's Association. "Events like this raise both necessary funding and awareness. This contribution helps us continue providing local families with the resources, education, and support they need."
PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union thanks all of the event sponsors, participating teams, volunteers, and the staff at Boulder Falls Mini-Golf for making the event a success.
