Protection Connection
For Your Protection
PrimeTrust Financial is enhancing identification requirements in order to protect your personal identity.
This is in response to a government mandate in light of the increase of identity theft.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we implement these changes.
In the future, you could be asked to provide:
- Valid photo ID for some transactions. Valid photo ID is considered to be; non-expired, government issued photo identification; such as driver’s license, passport, or alien identification. We may retain a secure copy of the identification you present.
- Signature and valid photo ID for address changes.
- Answers to “Non-wallet” questions. Identity thieves can have access to your account statement, check book, or even your credit report. At times, our staff will ask you non-wallet questions to further identify you. Mother’s maiden name, Social Security Number, and date of birth are not considered to be appropriate forms of verification.
- Original utility bill to verify address. If you have recently moved and you apply for credit with us, we might ask you to provide an original utility bill to help us confirm your current address.
- Additional address verification if you have recently moved and you order replacement ATM, Debit, or Visa Credit cards.
Remember, these initiatives are in place to protect YOUR financial information and personal identity.
